Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the signing Jon Nash. Cardiff born Nash has come through the Cardiff development system after leaving juniors he went on to have a great career in roller hockey. Nash returned to the ice for the 2014-15 season and finished that season as 2nd top scorer in his team. Last season Nash went one better and ended the season as top scorer in the Cardiff NIHL 1 team. Nash has amassed 59 points in 64 games at NIHL 1 level (31+28)
Mark Cuddihy added โWe had a fantastic season last year but it hurt to lose in the final. We knew we needed to get better this season, I wanted to add more goal scoring. We really missed Tim Burrows when he got injured in February. Defensively we were great we had great goaltending but I felt we needed one or two more players that could put the puck in the net. In Nashy we have that now. Iโm hopeful that he can take us to the next level”
