Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce that 3 forwards form the successful 2015/16 season return to the line up.
Steve Newton, David Sadler and Josh Haslam all return for this coming season. All three joined shortly after the start of last season from Cardiff NIHL 1. David Sadler contributed with 19 points in just 11 games for the Fire (11+8) He’s a quick energetic forward that’s also effective on the penalty kill. 21 year old Josh Haslam is an exciting young forward, with good speed, hands and can play the game physical. Steve Newton is a big physical player that sticks up for his team mates when needed, he hits hard, has good hands and is very effective in front of net.
Mark Cuddihy added “Delighted to bring these 3 players back for another year with the Fire, all 3 add a lot to our dressing room and although they are all youngsters they have a wealth of experience at this level of hockey, all have played since their under 18 days and that’s important when you are trying to win a championship. Bringing them into the team last season added a ton of energy to our line up and I’m hoping for the same from them this season”
