Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the re-signing of Robert Price for the 2025-26 season, which will see Rob transition into the defensive core.
Rob, a product of both the Cardiff and Swindon junior development, joined the fire part way through the 2022-23 season and since then has been a favourite within the locker room. Rob is known for his high energy style of play and relentless desire to fight for the puck all night.
Last season, Rob was called on to play both forward and defence, often showing his versatility and slotting into wherever he was needed seamlessly.

Rob is a fundamental example of how I want the Fire brand of hockey to look; relentless and high energy. He is a great skater and is not afraid to use his frame to his advantage.
Last season, I called upon Rob to play D in a few games where we were short. It was clear that he has a natural calling to defence and after speaking with him in the off-season, his skills will be utilised as part of our D core this year. I am excited to see Rob grow again as a player this season.
