The Cardiff Fire are thrilled to announce the return of talented local 19-year-old forward Bobby Ragan on a two-way agreement with the Bristol Pitbulls National side as part of our ongoing development pathway.
The local prospect returns to Cardiff to bolster the Fireโs offensive lineup while continuing his progression across both the NIHL National and NIHL1 levels.
Born in Llantrisant, Ragan developed through the Cardiff Junior setup before moving through the Swindon Academy. In the 2022โ23 season, he tested himself overseas in North America with OHA White U18 AAA in Canada, recording 13 points in 22 games.
Upon returning to the UK, Bobby featured in the NIHL structure with Bristol before making his Fire debut during the 2023โ24 campaign. He made an immediate impression posting 6 goals and 3 assists for 9 points in just 7 games.
Having secured a multi-year deal with the Bristol Pitbulls, this renewed two-way partnership with the Fire ensures Ragan receives prime top-unit ice time and key offensive responsibilities to accelerate his development.
Head Coach Elis Sheppard on Ragan's return:
Adding someone of Bobbyโs ability at this stage of the year is a huge edition. Bobby skates effortlessly and has exceptional vision. His release is deadly and adds more depth to our team. Heโs been developing his craft in the league above and Iโm excited to see him at this level, helping the team develop.
Ragan's return adds elite pace, creativity and scoring touch to the Fire squad. Fans can look forward to seeing Bobby back on the ice at the Vindico Arena very soon.
Everyone at the Fire would like to give a warm welcome back to Bobby! #90
