Cardiff Fire are pleased to add additional strength between the pipes with the signing of James Whiting on a two-way with the Cardiff under 20’s team. James has played at ENL level previously having been given an opportunity to represent the club in Division one with Fire coach Mark Cuddihy. In the 2013/14 season James was also registered to the Elite League Cardiff Devils. Playing all his career in Cardiff and wining the league with the under 18’s he also represented South West at conference level and England.
James goes straight into the team this weekend. Mark Cuddihy added “I’ve been a fan of James for a while, having used him before at Division one level and he was superb. With the window closing in a few weeks we thought it important to add some strength in depth to the goaltending department. James is a great addition to our squad and will help us out immediately this weekend”
