Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the signing of another new face to the club Danny Williams who joins from Oxford City Stars for the 2024/25 season.
Danny, a former product of the Swindon Wildcats academy, also played 10 games for Cardiff juniors in U16s. Stepping up to senior hockey, Danny represented both Swindon and Bristol in NIHL 2 before making the move to Oxford to play Division 1 hockey. Following a season in Oxford Danny returned to Swindon putting up big numbers in NIHL 2 (43 points in 23 games) before a return to NIHL 1 and Oxford last season.
Head Coach Elis Sheppard added:
Danny is a player I’ve admired after playing against him a few seasons back. He brings energy and is a fantastic skater, a true speedster. He’s strong on his skates and difficult to dispossess. I know he is a natural leader and will bring maturity and mentoring to our younger guys.
