Fire add young players

Signing right out of under 18’s is Morgan Evans. Morgan was on a two-way with the Cardiff Fire and under 18’s last season. For the under 18’s Morgan recorded 37 points (including 24 goals) in just 11 games, in senior hockey Morgan recorded 8 assists in 18 games for the Fire’s division 2 team while stepping up on 4 occasions to play for Fire in the 2nd tier.

Cardiff Fire have also signed 3 young players on two way deals with the Cardiff under 18’s team. Both returning for the new season is GB international forward Carter Lloyd and Defencman Andre Norris. New to the Fire line up will be 16 year old goaltender Ben Scanlan.

Mark Cuddihy continued “At the core of everything we do is player development. Cardiff has had a great history of bringing players through the ranks and thats never going to change. Obviously we know Morgan, Carter and Andre well as all 3 played parts in our division 2 and 1 season last year. With Ben being only 16 he will be our 4th registered goalie and practice with the senior team where possible, all 4 have a bright future in the game and we look forward to them progressing this season”
