Fire v Pitfbulls match report
Cardiff Fire made the trip to Oxpens Road to take on the Bristol Pibulls in the final road game of the regular season. Cardiff Fire injury list has grown and only travelled with 12 skaters and 2 goalies.
It was Bristol that took the lead after 14 mins, Fire had just killed off a penalty only to concede 3 seconds later Olly Shone with the goal. Ricky Deacon equalised 4 mins later. Some nice passing between Jason Stone and Robert Sedlak sent Ricky Deacon in on goal who made no mistake scoring Cardiff’s first goal of the night. Period ended 1-1
In the 2nd period it was Fire that took the lead. Another nice passage of play between Andrew Davies and Alan Armour sent David Sadler through on the breakaway. Sadler finishing cooly passed Dibble. Just 3 mins later Logan prince scored for Bristol drawing the game 2-2. Period was to finish that way.
Just 5 mins into the final period a collision between Jordon Powell and Bristol goalie Dibble led to a delay in the third. Bristol decided they did not want to continue with the game due to the delay and the injury to their player.
We are pleased that Dibbles injuries are not too serious and hope to see him back on the ice soon. All at Cardiff Fire wish him well.
