Former Devil Burrows back with the Fire!!

Timmy

Captain Tim Burrows returns for another season with Champions Fire

Tim began his career in Telford playing at all levels before moving to Cardiff to join the ENL team. Tim played 3 seasons for the ENL team before moving full time to the Elite League. Tim played 90 games in ENL 1 scoring 123 points (52+71) Tim joined the Elite league Devils in the 2010 season playing 66 games with a points total of 16.

Tim then returned home to his native Telford representing the Tigers in the EPL during the 2012/13 season. Tim had an impressive 41 points (21+20) during that spell. Basingstoke Bison came calling where Tim spent half a season before deciding to take time out from hockey. Tim returned to the ice for the Fire for the 2015/16 season. Unfortunatly Tim sustianed a nasty injury in Febuary that requed surgery and missed the end of the season.

Mark Cuddihy added “This is another huge signing for us. I coached Tim for 3 years in the ENL team and I’ve always been a huge fan of his. I was desperate for him to get his chance at Elite League level last time he was here and he didn’t let anyone down, he was great. His skating, puck control, vision and physicality are all fantastic attributes he posses. Tim would be a great addition to an EPL team so we are obviously very pleased to have him sign for us again.

Unfortunatly Tim is still recovering from his injury last season and is well into his rehab. We are not going to rush him back. It was a huge blow for us to lose Tim at such an important time of the season last year and I believe he would have made the difference in the playoff final due to his quality. We’d rather have Tim back when he is fully ready so he is hitting form for the business end of the seaosn”
