The Cardiff Fire are thrilled to announce the signing of 22-year-old Cardiff-born goaltender Morgan Parsons on a two-way agreement with the Bristol Pitbulls NIHL2 team for the 2026-27 season.
For Parsons, this signing represents a true homecoming, bringing a wealth of exciting junior pedigree and senior experience back home to Wales. He began his youth hockey journey right here in Cardiff at the Junior Devils system, playing for the U15s before moving to the Basingstoke junior setup to continue his development.
Morgan quickly proved his pedigree in the junior leagues. In the 2023-24 season, he was a key anchor of the NIHL2 playoff champions Basingstoke Buffalo, putting up an outstanding 92.1% save percentage during the regular season and recording the teamโs only shutout of the season.
After a stint in NIHL1 with the Oxford City Stars during the 2024-25 season, Parsons spent the 2025-26 season putting in work between the pipes for Bristol Pitbulls 2 registering an excellent 91.2% save percentage in 21 games and earning a call-up to the Pitbulls National team.
Morgan also stepped up to make a crucial first appearance for the Fire last season, stopping 28 of the 31 shots for a strong 90.3% save percentage.

Morgan guested for us last season in Romford and made a real impression. Heโs a tall, commanding goalie who reads the game very well.
I know he was voted as NIHL2 all-star netminder last season, which shows that he was thought of highly in the league. Iโm excited for him to join our goalie core and continue to improve his game.
