The Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the additions of young prospects Ollie Phipps and Henry Callaghan for the 2026-27 season, with both players going straight into the line-up this weekend.
17 year-old forward Ollie Phipps joins the Fire on a three-way agreement with the Cardiff Junior Devils U19s and the Bristol Pitbulls NIHL2 team.
17 year-old forward Henry Callaghan also joins the club on a three-way agreement with the Cardiff Junior Devils U19s and the Cardiff Canucks NIHL2 team.
The ongoing development pathway between the Fire and the Junior Devils continues to provide local young talent with essential ice time and exposure across multiple competitive levels, helping bridge the gap between junior and senior hockey.

Head Coach Elis Sheppard on the double signing:
Ollie has been working hard in training, approaching each session with an eagerness to learn and improve his overall game.
He is coachable and receptive to feedback. Iβm excited to work alongside him this season to help him progress in senior hockey.

Henry is a workhorse who executes the simple fundamentals well. He has an eagerness to learn and develop into a more complete hockey player.
He has a good release and plays a good βheads upβ game. Iβm excited to coach Henry and help develop his game further.
Ollie will wear the number 22 jersey and Henry will wear the number 47 jersey. Everyone at the club would like to wish #22 Ollie and #47 Henry a very warm welcome to the Fire Family!
