The Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the return of Nottingham born defenceman Ian Spridgeon for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Ian, who played most of his senior hockey with the British Army, joined the ranks in the 2023-24 season and after impressing with his maturity and vision re-signed for the 2024-25 season where he demonstrated his adaptability to the higher league.
Head Coach Elis Sheppard on the re-signing of Spridge:
Ian is someone who has truly grown as a player the more he has played. He slotted into the team seamlessly and his adaptability is something I truly admire. He isn’t afraid to block shots, nor handle the puck in defence. He is calm and composed and has great speed.
I am excited to see Spridge continue to grow as the season develops.
