Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the re-signing of forward Aaron Moody for the 2026-27 season.
Aaron began his hockey career in Coventry before heading to Swindon to play for the Under 18s in the OHA UK academy. In his final year at OHA, Aaron made the step up to NIHL2 as a junior playing for the Swindon Wildcats.
During the 2020-21 season Aaron headed stateside with the New York Aviators and the New Jersey Hitmen playing in the USPHL Elite and Premier leagues.

Returning home in 2021, Aaron has been no stranger to the league having scored 66 points in 139 NIHL1 games for teams including the Bristol Pitbulls, Oxford City Stars and Solihull Barons.
Whilst only being 24 years old, his experience has showed recording 25 points in 65 games for the Fire, earning him joint fifth spot in the point rankings last season.
Head Coach Elis Sheppard on the signing of Aaron:
Having Moody back was a no brainer. He is a grafter. He works hard on and off the puck and brings a level of compete each night.
He can play across all special teams and is an individual I trust to execute a game plan perfectly.
He is an intelligent player, he can read and anticipate the play which makes him vital to the line up.
Everyone at the Fire would like to give a warm welcome back to Aaron! #33
