Goaltending prospect Brochan Evans returns on a two-way with Bristol Pitbulls NIHL2

The Cardiff Fire are thrilled to announce that 18-year-old goaltender Brochan Evans has re-signed on a two-way agreement with the Bristol Pitbulls NIHL2 for the 2026-27 season.

Evans first joined the Fire in 2024 on a two-way agreement with the Cardiff Junior Devils U18s. Over the past two seasons, he has split his time developing with the Swindon Wildcats Academy, where he appeared in two consecutive national final weekends with the U19s.

Last season, the young netminder stepped up for the Fire on multiple occasions. Despite being just 17 years old at the time, Evans delivered highly impressive performances whenever called upon in senior hockey.

Head Coach Elis Sheppard on the signing of Brochan:

Brochan is the heart and soul of the dressing room. Heโ€™s a big character who wears his heart on his sleeve. The exposure to minutes and lots of shots last season helped round his overall game. Having spoken to Brochan, I know he is itching to continue his progression.

Everyone at the Fire would like to give a warm welcome back to Brochan! #42
