Newest recruit to the Cardiff Fire is former Devil Tim Burrows.  Cardiff Fire are delighted to welcome Tim to the team. Tim began his career in Telford playing at all levels before moving to Cardiff to join the ENL team. Tim played 3 seasons for the ENL team before moving full time to the Elite League team. Tim played 90 games in ENL 1 scoring 123 points (52+71) Tim joined the Elite league Devils in the 2010 season playing  66 games with a points total of 16. Tim then returned home to his native Telford representing the Tigers in the EPL during the 2012/13 season. Tim had an impressive 41 points (21+20) during that spell. Basingstoke Bison came calling where Tim spent half a season before deciding to take time out from hockey. Tim returns for the 2015/16 season to the Cardiff Fire with some familiar faces.

Mark Cuddihy added “this is a huge signing for us, absolutely huge. I coached Tim for 3 years in the ENL team and I’ve always been a huge fan of his. I was desperate for him to get his chance at Elite League level last time he was here and he didn’t let anyone down, he was great. His skating, puck control, vision and physicality are all fantastic attributes he posses. Tim would be a great addition to an EPL team so we are obviously very pleased to have him sign for us”

Tim Burrows continued “Cudd got in touch with me relatively early on to state his intentions with the new team. Initially I was caught in two minds as I hadn’t played in almost two years, but there’s a lot of familiar faces on the team which made the decision easier. I’ve skated a couple of times and I feel good all things considered so I’m looking forward to getting the season underway. It should be a good one and there’s no reason as to why we can’t be successful.
