Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce that defenceman Ben Davies has re-signed with the club for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
The 24 year-old local defenceman, who rejoined his hometown set-up in October 2025 from the Bristol Pitbulls, returns to anchor the Fireโs blue line for a full campaign at the Vindico Arena.
Standing at 6โ2โ, the Llantrisant-born blue-liner brings a wealth of experience, size and composure to the squad. Davies developed through the Cardiff junior system before taking his talents abroad to gain valuable overseas experience in North America.
Upon returning to the UK, Davies featured in the National League with both the Milton Keynes Lightning and Bristol Pitbulls before making his return home to Cardiff last season, quickly establishing himself as a vital pillar of the defensive core.

Ben had a difficult season last year, joining partially through the season and sustained a number of injuries keeping him out of the line up. Iโm grateful Ben has re-signed so that he is around for a full season.
Ben skates well, has good vision with the puck and a quick release from the point. With a number of consistent games under his belt I envisage he will add an attacking threat to our back line.
