Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce that defenceman Jasper Quinn re-signs for his fifth season with the club in 2026–27.
Essex-born Quinn joined the Fire in the 2022–23 season and quickly made his mark as a tough, no-nonsense blue-liner. His selfless, hard-hitting style of play and commitment to protecting his teammates saw him voted 2023–24 Supporters’ Player of the Year, cementing his status as a firm fan favourite at the Vindico Arena.
Over the past four campaigns, Quinn has consistently provided stability, physical grit and valuable dressing room leadership. Known for his "old-school" defensive mindset and trademark heavy hits, Jasper remains a vital anchor for the Fire defence.
Head Coach Elis Sheppard commented on Jasper’s return:
Jasper provides a strong, physical presence on our blue line and brings a level of stability that is invaluable to our defensive group. His ability to consistently separate opponents from the puck through well-timed body positioning and physical play often shifts the momentum of games in our favour. He is dependable in all defensive situations, shutting down opposing attacks.
Beyond his role on ice, Jasper is a highly respected member of the dressing room and leads by example every day. His commitment to the team sets a high standard for those around him.
