Here is all the info you need to know about Saturday night’s home season opener against the Lee Valley Lions.
Fire Hockey Night Is Back
Join us on Saturday as we Fire It Up for a big opening home night against the Lions. Face-off is at 6:45pm with doors opening at approximately 6pm at Vindico Arena (the new name for Ice Arena Wales) in Cardiff Bay.
Please note: Cardiff City are hosting Swansea at the same time and the roads could be busy in the surrounding areas, so give yourself plenty of time to travel to the rink.
Fire vs Lions
It’s the first league match-up of the home and away series with the London team after Fire took a clean sweep of wins last season.
Fire expect a completely different outfit in the Lions this season with strong additions made to their squad over the summer. Lee Valley also narrowly missed out on two points last weekend after leading on their return to home ice with Chelmsford scoring the winner in the final 30 seconds of the game.
So bring the noise once again, Fire family – You’re not gonna want to miss this one!
Hottest Ticket In Town
Tickets start at just a quid for kids and are available to purchase on game day. We accept cash, card and contactless payments and entry is via the main bar on the first floor.

Devilish Discount
Cardiff Devils season ticket holders can show their season ticket on the door to claim a discounted ticket for just £6. Please bring your 2022-23 season ticket if you don’t have a new one yet.
50/50 Raffle
You’ve got to be in it to win it! 50% of the takings go to the club and 50% go to the prize winner. All you have to do is buy a £1 raffle ticket on your way into the game and you could win the cash prize.
Shirt Off Their Back Raffle
We are debuting our brand new home jerseys with new signing #11 Lewis Lunn’s game-worn jersey up for grabs. Pick up a raffle ticket for £1 on your way into the game and you could be going home with the first one, including a photo with Lewis on the ice at the end of the game.

We have a range of merchandise and last season’s game worn jerseys available to purchase in the main bar before the game.
Fuel Up
The main bar will be open on the first floor and the cafe will be open on the ground floor serving your favourite hot tasty treats. There are also vending machines on the ground floor.
