Latvian Kasjanovs returns for 4th season with the Fire

Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce the re-signing of Latvian forward Kristians Kasjanovs for the 2023/24 season.

Kris has been in Cardiff Fire colours for 3 seasons since joining the club from Latvian club Jelgava in 2019. Kris began his career in Latvia for the Jurmala club before moving onto Prizma and then Jelgava before his arrival in Cardiff.

Since joining the Fire Kris has played in 75 games for the club scoring 51 goals and 33 assists. With 26 of those games and 23 of those points coming in Division 1.

Head Coach Elis Sheppard added:

I am delighted to have Kris back with the Fire again this season. Kris has shown his ability in the last few seasons as one of the most talented players in the league, where last year his point tally supported this. Kris has exceptional hands with a fast release shot which causes other teams a world of issues. I look forward to Kris improving his overall game again this season and leading the team from the front.

Welcome back to the Fire, Kris! #FireItUp
