Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce that youngster Lewis Lunn joins the ranks for the 2023/24 season. Lewis joins from the Canadian U18 Ontario Hockey Academy where he played AA and AAA hockey.
Lewis started his hockey days in Cardiff juniors before moving to Swindon during the 2019/20 season, where he would spend the next 3 years. Lewis then headed to North America to test himself at the Ontario Hockey Academy. During his time in Canada Lewis played for both the AA and AAA teams. Playing 27 AA games scoring 8 points and 19 AAA games scoring 3 points.
Lewis is no stranger to the Fire spending many summers skating with the club. But now Lewis will join up with the Fire splitting his time between ourselves and Cardiff juniors.

Head Coach Elis Sheppard added:
It is positive that the Fire have re-introduced a strong relationship with the junior system over the previous seasons, and I am excited to say this has continued.
I am happy to have Lewis Lunn on board with us this season, along with his commitment with the juniors. Lewis has been on the Fire’s radar for quite some time, and after a season of him playing hockey in the Ontario Hockey Academy, he was one of the first players we signed for the upcoming season. Lewis, although only 17 is strong with a powerful shot. It will be exciting to see him play his first season of senior hockey.
Welcome to the Fire family, Lewis Lunn! #FireItUp
