Last seasons league top scorer Robert Sedlak and Swedish Defenceman Viktor Langseth join the Fire for the 2017/18 season.
Robert Sedlak will start his 7th season in Cardiff, Robert or ‘Bobby’ as he is known in the room has been Cardiff Fire’s top scorer for the past two seasons. The strong centre has won two league trophies since going the Fire and was last seasons assistant Captain. Bobby has scored 61 points in just 32 games for the Fire and has been a crucial part of the success.
Viktor Langseth is a young powerful Swedish D man that likes the physical side of the game. He is only just out of juniors at the age of 21 playing J18 div 2 and J20 Div 1. Viktor has been skating with the Fire all last season but due to import restrictions and only having one team Fire were unable to offer him a spot.
Mark Cuddihy added “We are delighted to have Bobby back with the club, he’s been a real leader by example for us, having him here for 7 seasons has been great, his points for the Fire over the last two season have been really impressive. He’s a popular guy in the room and the ultimate professional on and off the ice.
In Viktor we have a young player who is desperate to impress and develop his game, he’s a big guy and it’s been difficult to remember he’s only 21 years old. He plays a very mature game and he really enjoys the physical side of the game. He moves well and is a great passer of the puck. Having him with us for a year has been great because there will be not fitting in period for him. He knows the set up and even our breakouts really well. Im delighted to have both ion-board for this season”
