Long serving defenceman Tom Smith and Swedish defenceman Viktor Langseth both return for the 2021-22 season.
35 year old Smith First signed for the Cardiff ENL team back in 2007 and is now a veteran of NIHL hockey playing in over 10 seasons in all divisions for the club. 25 year old Swedish defenceman Viktor Langseth starts his 4th season with the club after signing from Swedish junior outfit Gnesta JK.
Director of Hockey and Head Coach Mark Cuddihy continued:
I am delighted to have these guys back with us, both are really solid players. I have known Tom for a very long time and is probably one of the last players still playing that I played on a team with myself. He’s always been a leader in the room even from a young age and has captained a couple of teams for us in the past. Viktor has been a breath of fresh air for the club since joining. He is one of those guys that everybody likes, he’s a hard hitting player that makes good plays. He has a very mature head on his shoulders and is another player that has shown leadership qualities since joining us. Both will be huge players for us this season.
