MK born defenceman Tom Stephens returns to the Fire for the new season

Cardiff Fire are thrilled to announce the re-signing of defenceman Tom Stephens for the 2025-26 season.

Tom made his debut for the Fire in the Welsh Cup against Deeside Dragons, marking his appearance with being awarded with the first ‘Fire Man of the Match' award of the 2024-25 season for his impressive display.

Unfortunately, Tom missed some of the season due to a sustained hand injury, returning to the line up in the new year and instantly picking up where he left off. He was key in some huge results and the Fire’s push for playoff qualification.

Head Coach Elis Sheppard on the re-signing:

I’m delighted Tom has committed to a further season with the Fire. Defensively, he provides great stability at the back. He is effective on a 1 on 1 scenario and can quickly change defence into offence. He is a key figure in the dressing room.

Welcome back to the Fire Family, Stevo #19
