Lewis Stevens back for more with the Fire

Cardiff Fire are delighted to announce that forward Lewis Stevens returns to Cardiff Fire for the 2021-21 season.

Another member of the Fire team that has progressed though the Cardiff Junior system, Lewis made his senior debut in 2017 and now starts his 4th season with the Fire. In the season before the pandemic Lewis had his best season for goals and assists finishing 5th in the Fire scoring for the D1 team.

Director of Hockey and Head Coach Mark Cuddihy continued:

Having Lewis back is great for us, he really changed his game last season and really focused on adding numbers to his game. He proved that by finishing 5th in scoring for us. His last season for us was his best and also his best for numbers in his career. Lewis plays the game with a bit of an edge and to add the numbers he did with his style of play will make Lewis a really important player for us this season. He’s progressed through the lines but still maintains that edge to his game. He’s another ‘dressing room guy’ that likes to raise the spirit in the room but knows how to flip that switch when the game starts. I’m delighted to be working with Lewis again for another season.

Lewis will once again be sponsored by MiPost and we thank them again for their continued support of Lewis.

Welcome back Lewis! #FireItUp
